Developing a High Voltage Power Supply with the Spacecraft Transmitter Systems Group
Summer 2025 I got the exciting opportunity to work with NASA JPL on JPL campus in California. Through group 337D, the Spacecraft Transmitter Systems Group, I developed a high voltage (-1.150 kV) power supply PCB for a Photomultiplier Tube (PMT) in the OCEANS/OWLS instrument.
In addition to using Altium to create the schematic and simulating circuits using LTspice, I was able to calibrate, verify, and analyze the finished PCB. I also utilized 3D Printing to create custom brackets and mounts, as well as map out the packaging the Packaging Engineers gave me.
I keep this page short and to the point, but I would love to discuss more in depth! I have a lot more freedom to what I talk about versus post online.
